Monitors are one of the most vital components of your computer system. Unfortunately they are overlooked and often considered an afterthought.

LCD monitors are available in aspect and widescreen ratio formats. Aspect (4:3) formats are familiar and common in use. Widescreen(16:9) formats mimic HDTV formats and are ideal for viewing video, movies or viewing multiple documents simultaneously.

Another feature that require attention in selecting monitors is the dual monitor stand. Normally LCD monitors incorporate the feature of tilt and swivel but it would be better if iyou could also had the adjust the height and rotate the monitor to a potrait orientation.

Monitor Ports and Graphic Cards

Common connecting port to monitors are VGA,DVI. Other can be HDMI. Some monitors support combinatios of these ports. Graphic Cards now support Dual Output for multiple monitor setups with resolutions of 1900 * 1200.

Finally

Buying a dual monitor stand set up should if possible be bought separately from the bundled computer system packages. But most of all is the image quality, apart from other considerations above, of the show that you will need.
