Simple Elegant
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I used a MoView arm before... This product is patently better than the other. The arms have amazing range and strength. I am actually holding two 22" monitors with these arms (albeit the monitors are amazingly light). There is plenty of range to have larger monitors still presented side-by-side. The resistance of the arm is adjusted by an Allen wrench and definitely had more weight range than what I am putting on them. I keep my monitors in landscape mode though and haven't really tested their ability to rotate.

I found the product just ingenious for the smallest details. The arms hold your cables so that they can be kept neat. The product came with laptop accessories in the event I wanted to use a one monitor, one laptop configuration, and it had plenty of supplies (screws, velcro, etc)

Great investment
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I use this mount with a Macbook on one arm and a 20 inch HP monitor on the other arm in my home office. Works wonderfully, you can set the tension on the arms to hold the monitor at the correct height, but yet swing it aside easily if needed. Because of the size of my desk, I only use one section of the arm. It feels very stable and sturdy. It's heavy duty, like something you'd find in a professional office. It is a bit pricey; depending on what you're trying to do you could buy two separate monitor stands for less money.

Financial Office Review
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have three 22'' monitors which I use. 2 for me on the Ergotron, and 1 other that sits on its stock base for clients to watch on the other side of the desk (it is mirrored one of my two monitors).

That said, the setup is both very aesthetic and incredibly functional. I would recommend these stands to any business professionals who are looking to get more visual desktop space without sacrificing looks.

Great product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We use this desk mounted (not using grommet) and it works great. You can move the monitor in any direction needed and it stays perfectly. We use it with two 22" monitors. No problems, built well.

Solid Construction
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This product deserves a 5 out of 5 star review. You can check out my product images in the gallery, it's the one with the Macbook Pro desktop setup. The price might be a little bit on the expen$ive side, but trust me you will not be disappointed by the construction of this swivel arm. As with all things in life, you get what you pay for and I highly recommend this unit to everyone. Perfect to eliminate clutter and free up some of that precious workspace on your desk. It also comes with an additional monitor bracket plate just incase you decide to hook up an additional flat screen instead of the laptop tray.

The main reason why I purchased this product is b/c I was sick and tired of working eight hour days hunched over on my laptop, straining my neck and back. This setup allows me to position the monitor and laptop to whatever height I desire. Don't even bother with laptop stands, ergotron is the way to go.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Thanks for the great multi-monitor setup!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have two Dell 19" LCD monitors and I wanted to set them up so that I could use the deskspace the monitors stand on for more important things.

This LX Dual Desk Mount Arm set worked perfectly! It took me about an hour-and-a-half to set up but it was time well worth spent. Besides looking very slick, it cleared up alot of desktop space and it pains me to think about my setup before.

Warning: do not set your tension too low when it comes to the drop-down on the extension arms. It will mostly set itself just fine. All you will need to do is adjust a little bit. Even if you do set the tension too low, you'll realize this very quickly while attaching the back plate to the monitor (does it move around too much?) and should tighten it up a few turns.

I do recommend loosening up the screws some though in almost all of the joints. They come a little tight from the factory. Just loosen a little though and don't mess with the phillips screws on the monitor attachment plate (that's not needed at all)! All other screws with the included wrenches are fine to play with. Mess with them too much though and your monitors will droop. Too little and you can't move them. It made it easier to adjust though when the screws were already loosened when I installed.

Over all, I highly recommend this setup for anybody with 2 monitors.

Warning: do not set your tension too low when it comes to the drop-down on the extension arms. It will mostly set itself just fine. All you will need to do is adjust a small bit. Even if you do set the tension too low, you’ll realize this very quickly while attaching the back plate to the monitor (does it go around too much?) and should tighten it up a few turns.

I do recommend loosening up the screws some though in nearly all of the joints. They come a small tight from the factory. Just loosen a small though and don’t mess with the phillips screws on the monitor attachment plate (that’s not needed at all)! All other screws with the included wrenches are fine to play with. Mess with them too much though and your monitors will droop. Too small and you can’t go them. It made it simpler to adjust though when the screws were already loosened when I installed.

Over all, I highly recommend this setup for anyone with 2 monitors.

Get organized!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I'm very happy with this item. It's amazing what a difference it makes to have this much more desk space - very cool. Also, the ease of positioning the primary display and the ability to rotate 90 degrees easily - changes the way I work. Green too- I print much less now that I can read PDF files in full screen rotated.

Great product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Easy to assemble and supports two monitors well. (I didn't use the second arm for a laptop or keyboard, but rather have a dual monitor setup) I love having the extra desk space under the monitors. I chose not to use the extension arms. Because of my desk setup, the arms interfered with the back of the desk hutch. But honestly I don't have much need to adjust the position of the monitors...I mostly wanted the extra space under the monitors!

Worked great
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought the dual arms. They connected easily to my two Apple 23" monitors using the Apple plate (bought seperately) in the back. Now the monitors can be moved down all the way to the desktop, as needed.

Product functions very well, but was a little big for my home office
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This Lx Dual Desk monitor arm functions very well and is very easy to assemble - but was a little big for my home office.

In my case, the desk faces out towards the office door - so when people walked in the first thing they saw were the dual arms of the monitor stand - most people commented that it looked like something you would see on a spaceship.

Having said that, the stand was very adjustable and did a very nice job freeing up desk space. If you are not concerned about the bulky look, or if your visitors will see only the front of the monitors, then I would highly recommend this stand.

In the end, I returned this product and bought the Ergotron DS100 Dual-monitor Desk Stand - it takes up a little bit more desk space, but is not quite as bulky (however, the DS100 doesn't have anywhere near the same level of adjustment that the Lx Dual Mount has).

Brilliant, beautiful design. Perfect Solution
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Wow! It's the perfect solution in my music studio to keep my dual monitors off the desk and infinitely, amazingly adjustable. They look way cool too.
When I unpacked everything I was at first a little intimidated by what seemed to be a lot of parts. Once I got my bearings, though, it turned out to be very simple, and within about 20 minutes I had my monitors attached to the arms, the whole thing installed and adjusted and was back to work.

Bravo! Brilliant product. Worth every penny.

Great product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this for my office, it works very well, it was a bit confusing to setup at first because there are multiple options on how to mount it. Once it was setup it works awesome. I looked at the single pedestal units, but really needed the fee desk space for my laptop and docking station. Would recommend this

Awesome Dual Arm Desk Mount
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is an awesome desk mounting system with dual arms. I used both arms for LCD monitors, one Dell SP2309W (23", VESA 100mm), and another one Samsung 205BW (20", VESA 75mm).

It came with :
* 2 main arms
* 2 extensions
* 2 VESA 100mm mounting brackets
* 1 notebook tray
* 1 desk clamp
* 1 grommet clamp
* accessories & tools

And both arms can be mounted directly onto VESA 75mm compliant monitors without using the 100mm VESA bracket .

The arm is very easy to set up, took me like 20+ min to get both arms set up and attached to my monitors. The arm is also very flexible to adjust to any positions. The tension adjustment works very well. I didn't even have to adjust the tension for the 20" Samsung, but I did adjust it for the Dell 23".

I have a corner desk in my study room, and the arm totally frees up most of my desk space which allows me to put my MacBook Pro right in front of both monitors and still have some space between my arms and the MBP. This allows me to sit more ergonomically and more comfortable. I strongly recommend this mounting system to anyone who can afford a little bit extra money but will get a very solid mounting system that supports dual monitors or one monitor and one laptop.

Does what it's supposed to ... very well!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The Lx Dual Desk Mount Arm delivers on quality, durability, and functionality. I set it up the day I received it and it took about 1 to 1.5 hours to put together and "tweak". I have 24" and 22" Dell flat panel monitors, and both mounted very easily. The weight of each monitor was too much at first for each arm, but after a couple minutes of adjustments with an allen wrench (several come with the kit) I am able to move the monitors as I need for my own comfort, as well as for clients or friends when present.

NOTE: I do not use the notebook mount, but I will say that it is solid construction, so for those that plan to use it, my sense is that you will not be disappointed and should feel assured that it will hold your notebook safely.

I have had it set up for a few weeks now, and the position of the arms has not changed, so I'm very impressed that it seems to defy gravity and hold its placement - on the mount to the desk itself and the arms - very well. I now have more room on my desk, and the best thing about this setup is that I don't necessarily sit in the same position in my chair as I work for a while, so I'm able to easily move the monitors higher/lower and in/out for comfortable viewing all day, every day. I have no basis of comparison with other mount devices, but I can honestly say that I have never been happier with how my monitors are arranged and it was well worth the money spent.

fit my need perfectly
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have a digital docking station and a KVM to switch between work and personal computers. I needed to set up an analog flat screen monitor to accommodate a second work laptop. Now I can switch laptops with my KVM and move a monitor into position to use just one keyboard and mouse. My old wall mount monitor arm now holds the laptop table. The quality and the strength of the arms is perfect. When I upgrade my office equipment in the future, the arms will continue to fit my requirements.

Regain your desk space while improving ergonomics
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Just purchased this and have been using it happily for the last 2 days. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to get the whole thing setup in about 30 minutes and all I needed was a Philips head screw driver. One of the less essential parts was missing and when I called the toll free number on the Instructions booklet, and after waiting on hold for about 30 seconds, I was able to speak to someone and they apologized and will have it to me within a couple of business days. The arms are very sturdy and yet can move fluidly. They also look great, like something out of science fiction. Thanks to Ergotron, I'm able to "float" my laptop and my 24" monitor and in the process, have regained my precious desktop space. I highly recommend this product for ergonomic reasons and for the space saving and de-cluttered look.

I've got some desk space back..
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This desk mount dual arm has helped make my laptop feel like a desktop computer. Now that my laptop is off the desk I can fit my Wacom Tablet on the desk with the laptop being at the back of the desk.

The set up was easy enough. It took me about 2 hours to put it together. The instructions were helpful and complete with lots of pictures.

I went out and bought a 1080 HD 22 in. LCD monitor as a second display for my 17 in. MacBook Pro. The arms seem very strong and capable of handling the load. Because I can adjust each arm, I can align the displays to make it feel like one cohesive computer desktop. There is a lot of range of motion on each arm.

I also like the way the arms can easily hide cords in them without a lot of effort.

With a Little Tweak, All is Well
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
With this product my search was over: I am very satisfied with the arm and the flexibility of the mechanism. It is well-constructed, employs high grade materials, and is beautifully designed.

Caveat No. 1: Like other reviewers noted, the positioning mechanism requires a bit of tweaking to align with the weight and height of your monitors and/or monitor+laptop combo. Apart from two lockng keys that help to adjust the height on the single pole, there is a single compression bolt or tension rod locking nut on the swivel arm that is critical to the mechanism. It works very much like old model swivel lamps that rely on one locking knob to hold its position. You half expect the droopy lamp phenomena here but not on on this device: while the locking system can indeed be tricky to manage, the solution is to move the monitor or the laptop temporarily out of the way so that you can properly adjust the bolt or tension nut. Positioning the locking system perpendicularly and directly behind the monitor/laptop is a bit of an odd design choice.

Once set in position, you can forget the swivel since the tension is now weight-adjusted. I can constantly change the height and extend the arms, with no loss of tension or inducing a recoil effect.

Caveat No. 2: The reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is that there is too much movement when typing on the laptop mounted on one of the arms. The solution is to use a separate USB keyboard and mouse. I use a KVM switch that manages two laptops and uses a single keyboard, mouse and audio input/output.

Caveat No. 3: While the laptop mounts are of good quality, I found the retaining springs (which is rather flimsy looking and another poor design choice) and brackets to be too short. I add a 3/4 inch thick cooling fan under the laptop which together exceeds the specs of the retaining springs and retaining bracket. Without the springs and brackets, the laptop would just slip from the mount. Not good! The work around is to reposition the springs and mount these on the cooling fan which is in turn held by the arm's mounting bracket.

All in all, a great product with minor inconveniences and design compromises, which fulfills your expectations as long as you use the laptop mounted on one of the arms with a separate keyboard and mouse.

The best dual LCD mount on the market.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Probably one of the best dual LCD mount on the market, for the money. This unit makes my whole computer rig look ten times better just because this LCD stand looks so great!

Pros:
Amazing build quality for the money.
Super easy to setup.
The most flexibility and range on LCD motion I have seen.
Very stable and secure.
Looks great!

Cons:
Minor LCD wobble if you run/jump around the mount. This can be remedied by tightening everything down further.

Love it!
Fabian.

Worth the value, excellent/quality materials
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought the Lx Dual Desk Mount Arm after I've had it with my desktop clutter. I ran a few searches for reviews about this product and while it was a bit pricey for my tastes (it was over $200 when I bought it), it was a very solid investment. I am very pleased with the construction and quality of the materials and while assembling the individual parts took a bit more time (the instructions were slightly convoluted) I'm very pleased with the product.

One ding I had (not really the product's fault) was the laptop I had was too heavy with the laptop lid closed (I have a DELL Vostro 1500) and a DELL 24' monitor. So I have to leave the laptop monitor open to "balance" out the weight. Again, not a problem of the actual mount arm but it would've nice if the laptop extension supported a 'heavier' laptop

This is a solid product and investment for those looking to solve their desktop sprawl :-)

Surprising Quality for Foreign Made
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
As I unpacked the product I was surprised at the quality; reminded me of American made products when we used to make things in the USA.
There are two ways to mount the arm(s) base: base clamp or base grommet. The base clamp clamps to the edge of your desk, table, shelf etc. The grommet requires you to drill a small whole through the top of your desk for a bolt that slides through two thick metal plates and your desk, tightened by a wing-nut. Both mounts are pretty stout with the exception of the bolt for the grommet mounting option. For some reason they reduced the diameter of the grommet bolt from that of the clamp bolt. I have snapped that same size bolt more than once, although, that was back when we were getting a lot of inferior imported hardware (remember the airliners back in the '90's?). I couldn't replace the bolt with a thicker one, without having to replace the molded mounting plates as well, so I opted for adding deep c-clamps over the two legs of the base. Overkill maybe, but I don't worry about that bolt snapping and dumping dual monitors on my desk.

With that one exception, this product is well made.

I do wish they had made the pole for the arms a bit taller. I can barely get two monitors (23" LCD), one above the other but it is doable if you set the bottom monitor on the desk.

I would suggest the company offer the laptop mount as an option. Those of us who will never use it have paid for unwanted hardware.

Two, three or more monitors, plus capable computer hardware/software makes multi-tasking a reality!
